In today’s fast-paced digital world, email marketing automation is one of the most effective ways to nurture relationships and drive results. But sending too many emails at once can overwhelm your subscribers, hurt engagement, and even impact deliverability.
That’s where the Drip feature comes in.
What Is Drip?
Drip is a powerful feature in Emercury that lets you control the pace of your automation sends. Instead of blasting all contacts at once, you can limit the number of emails that go out each day (or over a set period).
This ensures your subscribers receive a steady, manageable stream of messages rather than feeling inundated, while you maintain healthier sending patterns.
Why Use Drip?
Prevent Overload – Avoid overwhelming your subscribers with too many messages at once.
Improve Deliverability – Sending in smaller batches reduces the chance of being flagged by ISPs.
Smooth Scaling – Ideal for warming up a new list or testing campaigns on smaller batches before full rollout.
How Does Drip Work?
Using Drip is both simple and effective:
When creating an automation campaign with a trigger existing list, you’ll see the option to enable Drip.
Set the maximum number of emails to be sent per day.
For example, you might configure a Drip automation to send 50 emails per day until the entire list has been processed.
The system will automatically manage the send pacing according to your settings.
Important: The Drip option is only available with a trigger existing list.
Example Scenarios
New List Warm-Up: You’ve uploaded a fresh list and want to test engagement gradually by sending 100 emails per day.
Large Campaign: Instead of sending to 10,000 contacts at once, you can spread it out over several days with a daily cap.
Deliverability Strategy: You want to maintain a positive sender reputation by pacing sends consistently.
The Drip feature gives you more control, keeps your subscribers happy, and supports your long-term deliverability success.
