The Update Field action allows you to update a contact field (including custom fields) to a new value at a specific step in your automation.

When would you use this?

This is useful when you want to track changes in a contact’s status or behavior as they move through your workflow.

For example, if a lead stops engaging during your journey, you can update a field like Lead Status to No Response. This can help you organize contacts, stop the current flow, or trigger a new automation later.
