Can I use my own external tracker for links?

Yes. You can use your own external tracker. Emercury’s tracker will still appear as the first visible link (the branded URL set inside the URL Manager under Click).

Important: Too many redirects may cause inboxing issues with certain ISPs.

  • Example: Gmail typically doesn’t like more than 2 redirects in a link path.

Will Emercury still track clicks if I use my own tracker?

  • If you select Track Links in Emercury, your links will still be tracked in Emercury reporting.

  • If you deselect tracking, Emercury cannot track link clicks. This also means you won’t be able to segment contacts based on engagement.

Best Practice

We recommend:

  • Always enable link tracking.

  • Always enable masking to keep URLs branded.

  • This ensures your reporting captures engagement and makes segmentation easier later.
