  1. Prepare Your File:

    • While preparing your file for uploading, ensure that your CSV file contains a header column named Tags. Each tag should be linked to the relevant contact.

    • To assign multiple tags to a single contact, simply separate them with commas and wrap them in quotes. ie. "Tag1, Tag2"

Here is an example CSV file with sample headers and the tag header to show you how the header should look. Download the sample CSV

  2. Upload Your List:

    • Navigate to your Emercury dashboard and from the menu, to Contacts>View Lists.

    • Once you are in Lists click on Add, and proceed to upload your file.

  3. Map Your Fields:

    • During the import process, you will need to map the columns in your file to the appropriate fields in Emercury. Make sure the column containing the tags is correctly mapped to the Tags field.

  4. Complete the Import:

    • Once all fields are correctly mapped, click Save. Your contacts and their associated tags will be successfully uploaded into Emercury.

  5. Check imported contacts:

    • To verify your contact has been updated correctly. Go to the List and Choose View, use the search feature to find your contact, and then double-click your contact to view the contact properties. Here you will see a tags field with the tags you uploaded associated with your contact as shown below.
